This capstone course is an integrated theoretical, summary of current special education issues that, have direct impact on practitioners. Topics are, selected jointly by the faculty and participants,, based on participants' experiences in the Special, Education: Generalist Endorsement Program, but, will include national and state special education, standards, consultation and collaboration skills,, and Individual Education Plan (IEP) team, facilitation. Focus is on enhancing the, preparation of participants for their initial, years as special educators who advocate for an, equitable education for all students.
