Introduction to scientific investigation through project-based studies of biological phenomena. Topics in this hands-on course introduce students to experimental design, data collection, data analysis, hypothesis testing, scientific communication, and ethical issues. Topics will vary according to faculty expertise. Sections 01 and 02, subtitled "The Forest and the Trees," will focus on the structure and function of plants and their ecological interactions.
