This course introduces students to the principal concepts, ideas, theories, and methods of the study of the political world and the nature of political phenomena, including political ideology, the concept of rights, and various forms of political participation in the United States. Particular attention is paid to political institutions, the question of how political systems operate, and the behavior of political actors.
