politics, contemporary social movements, global
mobility, embodiment, the city, and climate
change. Special attention to the interaction of
gender, sexuality, class, ethnicity, and caste in
different cultural and religious contexts.

film dealing with cases in Nepal, India, Pakistan,
Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka. Consideration of both
femininities and masculinities in South Asia
within global discourses of gender and sexuality.
