History of print in Europe from the Renaissance, through the 19th century. Lecture combined with a, hands-on workshop to experiment with printmaking, practices. All sessions will be held at a Portland, printmaking studio with an introduction to the, history and impact of different print media and, additional time in which students will make their, own prints, with the guidance of a master, printmaker. One of the sessions will also be held, at the Portland Art Museum, where students will, study examples of prints by various artists, with, the guidance of the print curator.
