
Teacher candidates take part in a professional, seminar that supports their fall student teaching., Topics include teacher identity, professionalism,, reflective practice, renewal of and support for, teachers, observation protocols, and the creation, of democratic learning communities. Teacher, candidates gain practice in teaching through a, concurrent internship placement in a middle school, or high school. Candidates also participate in the, School Exchange, and complete the Transition to, Teaching assignment in preparation for taking over, the role as lead teacher for one class. Admission, to Secondary Preservice Program required.
