Candidates examine historical and, contemporary issues in teaching social studies,, including philosophy, content, and method., Includes planning, organization, and assessment, in subject areas. Pays attention to national and, state standards and differentiation of, instruction, linking them to teaching and, assessment. Engages teaching candidates in, meaningful learning experiences responsive to, individual differences, interests, developmental, levels, and cultural contexts. Candidates learn, to assess, document, and advocate for the, successful learning of all students and school, stakeholders. Candidates write the teaching plan, for their December teaching. Admission to, Secondary Preservice Program required.
