Theory, application, design, implementation, and evaluation of prevention and intervention programs for school-age youth in school and community settings. Students also examine the cultural, social, psychological, family, and political factors bearing on children's understanding of social location and the world. Students examine the underlying values and effects of the systems we live and work in, and are required to challenge the White Dominant cultural lens/approach to education, intervention, and prevention. Prevention and intervention through a critical dis/ability studies and abolitionist framework with application to individuals, small-groups, classroom-based settings, and district level systems.
