The process of spatial thinking while analyzing, and communicating data with cartographic tools., Students will work hands-on with geographic, information system (GIS) software to collect,, store, query, analyze, and display spatial data., Fundamental GIS concepts and skills through lab, exercises, lectures, readings, class discussions,, and other activities. Topics include understanding, coordinate systems, cartographic design principles, and map production, exploring and modifying, geospatial data, and creating and analyzing vector, and raster data and models.
