Introduction to molecular cloning techniques, including the polymerase chain reaction, plasmid, construction, transformation, and DNA sequence, analysis. Students carry out a semester-long, project using these techniques to construct an, expression vector that is used to answer, student-generated questions. Instructor consent, and sophomore standing required.
